Juliet much like Romeo is very fickle when it comes to emotions. Friar Laurence- The Friar is a friend of Romeo. Friar Laurence is the guy Romeo comes to when he has a problem. He is also a very intelligent botanist who is very passionate about his work. Mercutio- Mercutio is possibly Romeos friend because he is nearly always there for him. Mercutio is very passionate and is almost always fighting. Mercutio is also very defensive over his friends especially Romeo. Prince Escalus- Prince Escalus is the prince of Verona. He is constantly trying to keep his subjects in line. His first speach in the play makes it clear that he is the boss. Tybalt- Tybalt is a member of the Capulet family. He has a very hot temper and especially hates the Montagues. He is angered when he learns that Romeo showed up at the Capulet feast. Benvolio- Benvolio is a member of the Montague family and he is also Romeo’s best friend. He tries to help Romeo get over his love with Rosaline by taking him to the Capulet party to see other hot women. 5Verona is the main setting of this play. It is situated in Italy and is controlled by Prince Escalus. This setting contains many smaller settings including both family’s houses , Verona’s streets, and the Capulet’s tomb. Mantua is a lesser setting in the play. It is where Romeo is banished to when he kills Tybalt. It is also the place where Juliet plans to flee to live with Romeo. This is the worst place for Romeo because he cannot be with Juliet there. 6 Act 1- Act 1 starts with a prologue that tells us what is to happen in this play. The first scenes takes place in the streets of Verona where servants of the two households break into fighting and warned by the prince that if it happened again death would come to both houses. In Scene 2 both parties agree not to fight and we learn that Paris wishes to marry Juliet but her father thinks she is to young.

Hamlet is one of the most quoted (and most parodied) plays by William Shakespeare. The play is well-known for its powerful quotations about corruption, misogyny, and death. Yet, despite the grim subject matter, Hamlet is also famous for the dark humor, clever witticisms, and catchy phrases we still repeat today. Quotes About Corruption Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.(Act I, Scene 4) Spoken by Marcellus, a palace soldier, this familiar Shakespeare line is often quoted on cable TV news. The expression implies a suspicion that someone in power is corrupt. The scent of decay is a metaphor for a breakdown in morality and social order. Marcellus exclaims that something is rotten when a ghost appears outside the castle. Marcellus warns Hamlet not to follow the ominous apparition, but Hamlet insists. He soon learns that the ghost is the spirit of his dead father and that evil has overtaken the throne. Marcellus statement is important because it foreshadows the tragic events that follow. Although not significant to the story, its also interesting to note that for Elizabethan audiences, Marcellus line is a crude pun: rotten references the smell of flatulence. His love-interest, Ophelia, suffers a complete mental breakdown and commits suicide. Gertrude is killed by Claudius and Claudius is stabbed and poisoned by Hamlet. He tells Ophelia to go to a nunnery (a convent of nuns) where she will remain chaste and never give birth to arrant knaves (complete villains) like himself. Perhaps Hamlet wants to shelter Ophelia from the corruption that has infested the kingdom and from the violence thats sure to come. Perhaps he wants to distance himself from her so that he can focus on avenging his fathers death. Or perhaps Hamlet is so poisoned with anger that hes no longer capable of feeling love. In Elizabethan English, nunnery is also slang for brothel. In this sense of the word, Hamlet condemns Ophelia as a wanton, duplicitous female like his mother. Regardless of his motives, Hamlets rebuke contributes to Ophelias mental breakdown and eventual suicide. Many feminist scholars argue that Ophelias fate illustrates the tragic consequences of a patriarchal society. Later in the long soliloquy, Hamlet observes that fear of consequences and the unknown—the undiscovered country—makes us bear our sorrows rather than seek escape. Thus, he concludes, conscience does make cowards of us all. In this context, the word conscience means conscious thought. Hamlet isnt really talking about suicide, but about his inability to take action against the sea of troubles in his kingdom. Is It Love? â€Å"Burning Bright† is a story about an older woman marrying a man young enough to be her son. Marcie is almost sixty. When her husband Arthur died and the local help fell away, she endured incredible loneliness at the end of a five-mile dirt track until the church recommended a handyman, Carl, who could help out on the farm. There is a part in the story where Carl and Marcie are talking about why he has not been married, and Carl tells Marcie that she is not too old for him(Rash 7). Farther on in the story, when Marcie and Carl got together, they did not have the typical fairytale love story meeting. Carl met Marcie because of the preacher giving him some much needed work. He got laid off from his carpentry Job. Marcie dated Carl Just because she became lonely. Later, they are at dinner, and Marcie thought that their conversation would get more comfortable. When she tries to talk to him about the fire, Carl is very short with her on words and tries to make the conversation short. He did not like to be around her, so he would sit outside and attend to himself. When they go to bed, they show love to each other, but it is the same thing every day. It is basically a routine for them. One of the examples that they use for their routine would be when Marcie says, â€Å"But at night as she readied herself for bed, he’d always come in. Theyd lie down together and he’d turn to kiss her good night, always on the mouth. Three, four nights a week that kiss would linger and then quilts and sheets would be pulled back (Rash). † I found this particularly interesting at the end of the story when Marcie chooses to pray for rain. She is praying for Carl to stop burning items. She also praying for her quality of life back, something Carl could give her. Marcie mentions she thought the longer they were together, the more he would talk, but it is not so. I think that their marriage will probably not last as long as they want it too, but as long as their both trying to work things out together, as of getting Carl to talk they relationship should be great. It is analyzed that Deep Water Horizon Oil spill occurred due to less effective eco system implemented by BP in area where it was working. In addition to this, Deep Water Horizon Oil spill has not only affected its own business but also put negative impact on the people who are living their lives in the affected areas. This Deep Water Horizon Oil spill case has given clear bifurcation on all the penalties and other associated acts of BP in effective manner. This case is analyzed to identify that BP had failed to make proper level disclosure of information on its eco system services and other eco supporting system. These d isclose the proper information on eco-system services and other environmental support system. However, BP had faced several negative impacts from this disaster. It had faced $ 1107 million loss in its business functioning due to this Deep water Horizon oil spill. Apart from that, BP promised to make contribution of $ 500 million in its research and development department. The BP group had also committed to provide fund $ 360 million to six Berms in Louisiana Island Project. However, the main discussion point in this Deep Water Horizon Oil spill case is related with the business policies of BP to charge these all amount from its profit and loss account (King, et al. 2015). these reveal that BP had failed to follow complete level of accounting and financial requirements while preparing its financial statements. The escrow account opened by Bp to discharge its legal liabilities also does not contain full legal penalty amount. It had deposited only penalties amount which is certain and uncertain liabilities which are yet to be proven had not been considered. It had also resulted into business destruction of BP. It would cost around USD 12 to 47 billion. Afterward, the main discussion point could be made on the transparency of financial statement of BP. It had also not proper level of discourse to its stakeholders. BP had destruct its brand image due to its less efficient reporting frameworks in gulf countries. In the end, it would be inferred that if company want to establish its brand image again then it needs to establish an effective eco system and reporting standards in determined approach (Bodle, et al. 2016). Reflection on the Case of BP In Deep Water Horizon Oil spill case, it is given that BP had to face several legal penalties and charges due to its oil spill. Apart from that, BP had also charged all of its penalties and charges as revenue expenses which is not correct as per the international financial reporting standard. BP had charged all of its expenses as revenue expense which reduced all of its tax payment. BP should have not charged these losses from its profit and loss account but could have deducted these losses on gradual basis by appropriating these losses from the profit and loss account. Moreover, BP had also failed to make complete level of disclosure in its financial statement which had also decreased its brand image in stakeholders mind. BP in 2009 had profit of $ 6947 million which decreased by very drastic rate and resulted into loss of $ 1107 million. Apart from that, BP promised to make contribution of $ 500 million in its research and development department. The BP group had invested its funds of $ 360 million to six Berms in Louisiana Island Project. there is need to establish effective level of financial and accounting frameworks in determined approach (Gutierrez, et al. 2013). The main argument in this case is related with how BP had made disclosure of its financial and non financial information in its annual report to its stakeholders. In addition to this, accounting policies for charging loss of Deep water Oil spill had also been charged as revenue loss from the profit and loss account of company with a view to save tax and other burdens. However, BP had also set off these losses to reduce the profit of other unites as well. If BP wanted to increase its business sustainability then it should have made effective level of transparency for its non financial and financial transactions in determined approach. Conclusion This report is prepared to describe all the factors which were considered against the reporting frameworks and other eco system established by BP in response to Deep water Horizon oil Spill. Moreover, there are several shortcomings which have been disclosed in this report. BP had made several efforts to overcome all the associated problems of oil spill in gulf countries. Now in the end, it would be inferred that accountant and financial managers had not followed proper accounting and financial reporting frameworks which have resulted into non disclosure of true and fair view of financial statement of organization. Moreover, Deep water Horizon Oil spill had grasped attentions of government and regulatory authority of gulf countries which have resulted into strengthen ecological and sociological policies and increase the transparency in discloser of financial and accounting details to its stakeholders (Liu, et al. 2016). BP had made efforts to establish eco system and various social pr otection program but BP instead of establishment of these programs should indulged in avoiding these types of business practice which affect the people lives and areas where people lives.
